Hey there! I'm Dean, the photographer behind Grumpy Sailor Photography.
For more than a decade, my career in the Royal Australian Navy has taken me across Australia and around the world.
Along the way, I've experienced incredible places, landscapes, and moments that many people never get the chance to see.
Grumpy Sailor Photography is a reflection of that journey. Through my lens, I capture everything from vibrant city streets to rugged coastlines, remote wilderness, and the quiet beauty found in unexpected places.
There is still so much of the world left to explore, I look forward to continuing the journey, camera in hand, discovering new stories worth sharing.

Prints are available in both framed and unframed options, depending on the product selected.
Where do you ship?
Grumpy Sailor Photography ships both within Australia and internationally. Shipping options and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.
How long will delivery take?
All prints are professionally produced to order. Please allow approximately 5-7 business days for production before dispatch.
Estimated shipping times:
- Australia: 2-5 business days
- International: 4-10 business days

Are prints made in australia?
Yes. All Grumpy Sailor Photography prints are professionally produced in Australia through Atkins Pro Lab, a long established family-owned print lab with generations of experience in photographic printing. Every print is produced using premium materials and professional printing processes to ensure exceptional image quality, colour accuracy and longevity.
Do colours look exactly the same as on the screen?
Every effort is made to accurately represent colours online. However, differences in screen settings, device displays and lighting conditions may cause slight variations between what you see on your screen and the final product.
